Quality alert protocol
Where our verification identifies material quality concerns, RAYID provides immediate, evidence-based feedback and recommends corrective actions. If critical quality failures exceed an agreed threshold — for example, 10% of verified interviews — RAYID issues a formal quality alert to the commissioning client.

Our origin
From experience to innovation
Our Founder and Managing Director spent years leading large-scale data collection and overseeing quality assurance, where he witnessed recurring quality issues, including non-compliance with protocols, poorly conducted interviews, and inaccurate reporting. These experiences demonstrated how weaknesses in the quality of evidence can ultimately influence decisions affecting people's lives.
These experiences ultimately inspired the creation of RAYID, an independent quality assurance firm dedicated exclusively to verifying the quality of humanitarian evidence.
We recognized that many organizations invest heavily in data collection but comparatively little in independently verifying whether the data can actually be trusted. Research firms are often responsible for both collecting data and assessing its quality, creating an inherent risk that quality concerns may be overlooked, corrected quietly, or underreported in order to protect organizational reputation or project timelines.
RAYID was established to provide an independent layer of quality assurance. We do not collect programme data or implement projects. Instead, we verify whether the evidence generated by others meets agreed quality standards through systematic review of field processes, metadata, audio recordings (where consented), respondent verification, spot checks, back checks and independent quality assessments.
Our objective is simple: to ensure that decisions affecting lives are informed by reliable evidence rather than assumptions, shortcuts, or fabricated data.
